Our Patrons
We are grateful for the support of dedicated patrons who actively help to promote our cause and raise awareness. Their involvement allows us to extend our reach and promote our work to a broader audience.
“I’m really delighted to be a patron for International Animal Rescue because they are precisely what the name says - international animal rescuers. From slow lorises, macaques, orangutans, Syrian brown bears and so much more. The reach is just phenomenal. And of course their work protecting the rainforest. Just one of these is a good enough reason to support a charity like this. This charity is great and a truly inspiring.”
“I’ve supported International Animal Rescue for several years and am honoured to be a patron of this incredible charity. I was first moved by their work with orangutans in Borneo, and it inspired my belief that if we don’t stand up for animals facing threats from human advancement, no one will. IAR’s work with local communities, striving for harmonious coexistence with nature, is the way forward. I want my daughter to grow up in a world where these magnificent creatures still exist, and I’m just so grateful I can help to raise awareness for this wonderful charity. I’m fortunate to have a platform on social media and a following on that platform who get behind this great cause. They enable me, in my own small way from the metropolis of London, to throw a pebble in the ocean which ripples out to Indonesia, Costa Rica, Armenia and India and be a little part of this great organisation doing entirely selfless work in these countries.”
“I’ve been an admirer of International Animal Rescue for many years and have been lucky enough to visit their projects in India and Indonesia. As a veterinarian, I felt privileged to be able to assist with some of the medical procedures carried out by the local vets on rescued sloth bears and slow lorises in IAR’s care. My experiences during both trips were unforgettable, both in terms of the vibrancy of the countries themselves and also, more importantly, in terms of the extraordinary work IAR is doing to rescue, rehabilitate and release critically endangered species. I’m very proud to be associated with IAR and hope to be able to do more to support the charity in future.”
“Animal cruelty is no laughing matter. And that’s why I support the work of International Animal Rescue. Over the 20 years since I first became aware of IAR, the charity has saved more than 600 dancing bears from suffering, rescued nearly 300 orangutans and released the majority of them back into the rainforest – and plenty more besides. IAR takes an all-round approach to conservation, working with local communities to help them improve their own lives while also encouraging them to protect the animals that live alongside them. It’s a win-win for people and wildlife.”
