Intro

Our ‘Guardians of the Forest’ programme was created to build a community of empowered people who believe that there is hope in action. In the face of a biodiversity and climate crisis, we want to share reasons to have hope and good news stories from our conservation projects around the world.

Our partners on the ground in Indonesia, YIARI, are at the forefront of biodiversity protection, not just saving animals from the brink of extinction, but also changing the lives of humans living in poverty, and in turn, protecting more than 300,000 hectares of precious Indonesian rainforest.

Become a Guardian of the Forest and support work such as our Batutegi Forest Protection Project

Our Guardians of the Forest play a vital role by donating monthly to fund these life-changing initiatives. In return, we keep our Guardians connected to the impact of their generosity—sharing stories from the field that highlight the incredible difference they make.

Join us and be part of something bigger. Become a Guardian today.

The Power of Guardians

eg

Conservation through Education

Thanks to contributions from Alvin R, more young people are gaining access to education through our scholarship programme.

These scholarships don’t just open doors - they inspire the next generation of wildlife protectors. Alvin’s support helps equip local students with the skills, knowledge and passion they need to further their education and start their careers.

If you believe in the power of education to change the future, please consider becoming a Guardian of the Forest today.

Freedom in the Forest

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Don M, another orangutan has taken their first steps back into the wild.

After years of rehabilitation with our partners at YIARI, each release marks a powerful moment - when a life once stolen by captivity is given back to the forest. Don’s support helped make that possible, giving this orangutan not just a second chance, but the freedom they were born to have.

If you’d like to be part of the next journey to freedom, please consider becoming a Guardian of the Forest with a monthly donation.

Restoring Rainforests

Thanks to our friend Susan H, a tree is planted every month in vital orangutan habitat.

These trees are more than just saplings—they’re a lifeline for countless species, including endangered orangutans. With every tree planted, Susan is helping to restore what’s been lost and rebuild the future of the rainforest, one root at a time.

If you’d like to grow your own forest of hope, please consider joining Guardian of the Forest with a monthly donation.

Protecting Batutegi

Thanks to the incredible support of Samira P, our work in the Batutegi forest continues to grow stronger.

This precious forest in Sumatra is home to some of the most threatened wildlife on Earth, including orangutans and tigers. With Samira’s help, our partners at YIARI are patrolling, protecting animals, and restoring degraded forest to ensure this vital habitat survives for generations to come.

If you’d like to stand with us for Samira, please consider becoming a Guardian of the Forest too.
