Adopt
A
Bear
Intro
Meet the extraordinary bears in need of adoption. Some were forced to perform, others kept in tiny cages beside restaurants or garages, but all of them have endured suffering no animal should ever face. Thanks to the tireless work of our partners, Wildlife SOS in India and FPWC in Armenia, and the support of people like you, these bears are finally safe.
By adopting a bear, you’re helping provide the specialised care, enrichment, and lifelong sanctuary they need to heal. You’re also standing up for a future where wild bears are no longer abused or confined in horrific conditions. Adopt a bear today and help them live the peaceful life they deserve.

Bear Adoption FAQs
-
Where does my money go if adopt a bear?
A virtual adoption is a symbolic way to support our work rescuing and caring for bears in need. While your donation doesn’t go directly to one specific animal, it will fund the sanctuary they live in. It will provide vital food, veterinary care, enrichment, and sanctuary for all the bears at our partner centres in India or Armenia - depending on which bear you adopt.
-
How often will I get updates on my adopted bear?
We aim to send out at least six updates a year on all our adoptable animals. Sometimes the rescue centres can get extremely busy, please do bear with us if you haven’t heard from your adoptable animal for a couple of months.
-
Where are the bears I’m adopting being cared for?
Our sloth bears live at Wildlife SOS sanctuaries in India, and our Syrian brown bears are cared for by our partners FPWC in Armenia. Both centres offer safe, spacious, species-appropriate environments where rescued bears receive expert care.
-
Can I visit the bear I adopt?
No, the sanctuaries are not open to public visits. Many of the bears have experienced significant trauma, and it’s important they live in peaceful environments free from stress or human interference. Respecting their space is part of giving them the life they deserve.
-
Can I give an adoption as a gift?
Yes, absolutely. Bear adoptions make wonderful, ethical gifts for animal lovers of all ages.
