Beau's Lifeline
Intro
For nine long years, Beau lay trapped in a filthy cage at a spa resort. Surrounded by forest, he could see it, smell it, even hear the sounds of freedom. But he could never reach it, his rightful home lay just metres away all that time. Instead, his only interactions were with tourists who laughed at him, teased him, fed him scraps and treated his misery as a photo opportunity.
You may remember Beau as we began campaigning for this release in 2021! Our partners FPWC fought tirelessly to free Beau, returning again and again to plead for his release. Time after time, the owner refused. And then, suddenly, after nearly a decade, they gave him up. Was it bad press? Changing attitudes? Or was Beau simply no longer “useful” to them. Was he too old, too broken, too sick? Whatever the reason, one truth is clear: Beau needs urgent help now.
When his cage finally opened, the reality was heartbreaking. His fur was matted with filth, his body frail, his spirit scarred from years of cruelty. Now at the rescue centre, Beau is safe but freedom from his cage does not mean freedom from suffering. His health is extremely fragile, and the trauma of his past will take time, resources, and relentless care to heal.
That is why we need you. Your generosity can provide Beau with the urgent medical treatment, nourishing food, enrichment, and lifelong care he so desperately needs. After nine years of torment, Beau finally has a chance at comfort and kindness. Please, donate today to give him his lifeline!
