A young male baby orangutan has been rescued from illegal captivity in the Sayan gold mining area of West Kalimantan. The orangutan, later named Randy, is estimated to be around two years old.

On 14 December 2025, five howler monkeys, each rescued from life-threatening injuries, will return to the wild in a release that symbolises both recovery, hope, and IAR’s mission to return wildlife to the wild.
